Reduced to a few sweeping gestures of black ink, The Magician hovers between apparition and disappearance. Emerging from the white expanse of the paper, a fragile figure seems to take shape only to dissolve again into fluid traces and shadows. Neither fully human nor entirely abstract, this elusive presence evokes the ancient figure of the magician: a mediator between the visible and the invisible, between matter and imagination.
